More About Me and the Media, Styles, and Techniques I Teach

 I am a Highly Qualified and Certified All Level EC-12 Art Teacher in the state of Texas as well as a certified Yoga Instructor and registered with Yoga Alliance. I received extensive training in all art and design media during my BFA in Studio Art and Art Education program, with a minor in Honors focusing on Art History. I am also a professional, multidisciplinary artist and designer whose career spans across two decades. 


I have many years of experience teaching a wide variety of 2D, 3D, and "4D" art styles, media, and techniques. I teach all of the following media, but am not limited to:


Drawing: Graphite, charcoal, conte, ink, pens, markers, Copic markers, colored pencil, graphic pens, cartooning/comics/graphic novels


Painting: Oils, water based oils, watercolor, gouache, acrylic, ink, alcohol ink, spray paint, interior and exterior murals, encaustic


Printmaking: Relief print, woodcut, intaglio, serigraphy, monoprint, lithography, gel printing, chine colle

Sculpture: Additive, subtractive, wood, metals and welding, wire, styrofoam, soap, stone carving, mixed media, recycled

Fibers: Sewing, embroidery, felting, felt painting, knitting, crochet, fabric design, fabric surface design, paper making, weaving

Mixed media: any combination of the above-collage, found object, recycled art
