Continued Success at Jerry's Art-A-Rama Middle School 8"x10" Art Competition

Congratulations on the continued success of our young Ojeda Middle School Artists! This afternoon Jerry's Art-A-Rama hosted its annual Middle School 8"x10" Art Competition. Students were asked to create work within and 8" x 10" perimeters but were able to create artwork of their own choosing as long as it fit within those size guidelines.

Congratulations to Misael Castillo, 7th grade Artist, who won 2nd place in the sculpture category for his Oaxacan Alebrijes cat, "Day and Night."

I accepted his $15 gift card to Jerry's on his behalf as he wasn't present and cannot wait to surprise him with it tomorrow!

Also in attendance were

Bianca Moreno, 6th grade Artist

Becky Miller, 7th grade Artist. Becky requested that all proceeds from the sale of her work will be donated to Autism Speaks

Esteban Quiroz, 8th grader, Art I student

A big thank you to all the friends and family who came out and of course to Jerry's for supporting local youth Artists! Jerry's has now permanently dedicated this gallery space to youth art so stay tuned for upcoming exhibits!
